A puppy that changed into stolen through a motive force delivering Amazon parcels in England has been reunited with its owner.

Businessman Richard Guttfield, fifty one, stated his black miniature schnauzer Wilma had long gone missing after a driver dropped off a package of canine meals.

Guttfield said it became simplest after he emailed Amazon's CEO and founder Jeff Bezos in a plea to have his canine again that the company spoke back.

"My domestic dog went lacking after an Amazon transport and after an e-mail to Jeff (Bezos)… we had someone who became incredible who tracked the motive force and observed our dog and taken her domestic," he informed CNBC.

Amazon stated that the driving force in question might not supply its packages. Drivers that deliver parcels for Amazon do now not technically work for the employer, but via a number of independent couriers.

"this is inexcusable and does now not reflect the excessive requirements we have for our delivery companions," a spokesperson for the organization said in an emailed statement. "We take those topics critically and this character is no longer handing over Amazon programs for the unbiased transport carrier issuer."
